Abstract

Health is a state of physical, mental and social well-being that is not only free from disease or disability. The human body is composed mostly of fluids. Almost 60 percent of an adult's body weight consists of fluid. The function of the kidneys here is needed because the kidneys are a vital organ in the body that functions as an excretory organ in the body. One way to maintain kidney health is to maintain the amount of fluid in the body. Consuming fluids as needed can help the kidneys function properly. The occurrence of kidney disorders or chronic kidney disease can cause several diseases such as heart disease, heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure, bone weakness, nervous system damage, anemia. The following lifestyle can be done to be able to maintain kidney health, namely: maintain fluid in the body, consume healthy foods, reduce salt consumption, control blood pressure, consume water when thirsty, stop smoking and stop excessive alcohol consumption, maintain weight, avoid excessive stress, exercise moderately, prevent urinary tract infections, empty the bladder after sex. This activity is given in the form of counseling about healthy living by maintaining kidney function in the bintuju village, angkola muaratais sub-district. Implementation of activities on April 13, 2023. Participants who attended the counseling were teenagers in the area around the bintuju village and totaled 24 people.
