PENYULUHAN DAN PRAKTEK TENTANG SENAM BAYI (BABY GYM) PADA IBU DI DESA LEMBAH LUBUK MANIK KECAMATAN PADANG SIDEMPUAN HUTAIMBARU KOTA PADANGSIDIMPUAN

Abstract

Infancy is a golden age in the development of an individual. During this time, children experience extraordinary growth and development in terms of motor, emotional, and cognitive. One important aspect of the development process is gross motor development because it is an individual capacity related to performance in performing various skills obtained since infancy. Gross motor development in infants is very important for parents to know in order to avoid delays in infants. The purpose of the implementation of this Community Service is to add insight to the community, especially productive mothers, especially mothers who have babies to better understand the benefits of doing baby exercises to help improve motor development and baby growth. The materials used in this Community Service are lecture methods and direct practice of the implementation of Baby Gymnastics to babies. The results of the implementation found that the mothers who did Baby Gymnastics said that they were able and understood how to do gymnastics to their babies. The conclusion obtained from the implementation of the lecture and practice method is that mothers in the village of Lembah Lubuk Manik, Hutaimbaru District were initially unable to do baby gymnastics themselves to their babies, so it is hoped that with the counseling and practice given by mothers and health cadres can better understand the techniques of baby gymnastics and can do it themselves without the help of others to their babies.
