Abstract

Infancy is a golden age in the development of an individual. During this time, children Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative joint disease, where the entire structure of the joint undergoes pathological changes. Characterized by damage to the hyaline cartilage (cartilage) of the joint, increased thickness and sclerosis of the bone plate, osteophyte growth at the joint edge, stretching of the joint capsule, inflammation, and weakening of the muscles that connect the joints. The purpose of this community service is to determine the effect of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation and exercise therapy on pain reduction in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee joint. The results of this service where the treatment group with Transcutaneus electrical nerve stimulation and exercise therapy with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test test obtained the results p = 0.004 (p <0.05) where there is an effect of giving Transcutaneus electrical nerve stimulation and effective exercise therapy on pain reduction in patients with Osteoarthritis of the knee joint.
