PENINGKATAN KESEHATAN DAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT MELALUI PEMBUATAN TANAMAN OBAT KELUARGA (TOGA) DI DESA PURBATUA

Abstrak

TOGA (Family Medicinal Plants) is a type of plant that is cultivated in the home yard. TOGA can provide health to the family and provide beauty to the yard. The development of TOGA in Purbatua Pijorkoling Village (PK), Southeast Padangsidimpuan Subdistrict, which is a fostered village, has been socialised but the management and utilisation of TOGA has not been running optimally. The introduction of medicinal plant species and their utilisation is still largely unknown to the community. The purpose of this community service activity programme is to increase the income of family members through the use of TOGA as family herbal medicine. The activities carried out were socialisation and demonstration of the potential and utilisation of medicinal plants in the community environment in Purbatua Village. The resulting socialisation can provide environmental beauty, plant preservation and can provide family welfare. The results of this activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge of the types of plants that have potential and medicinal properties and how to make TOGA so that there is aesthetics and environmental beauty and can improve the family economy.
