Abstract

The problem of stunting is one of the important issues in the world of children's health which is still a major concern, especially for children in underdeveloped and developing countries. Based on a report from the World Health Organization (WHO), an estimated 149 million toddlers experienced stunting worldwide in 2020, while 45 million other children are estimated to have bodies that are too thin or underweight. Malnutrition in toddlers has serious consequences. Children who are malnourished tend to experience more severe illness than children who are well-nourished. The risks caused by malnutrition include increased morbidity, developmental disorders (cognitive, motor, and language), increased economic burden for child care costs and increased mortality. Activities are carried out through several stages, namely: Preliminary survey, Permits, Preparation of tools and materials for activities, Implementation of activities, Monitoring of activity results, Preparation of reports, Making community service journals. The implementation of community service runs effectively and there are no obstacles according to the implementation plan. It is expected that health workers will provide information to the community about education and efforts to prevent stunting in toddlers.
