Abstract

Nutrition is said to be balanced if the daily food arrangement contains nutrients in the type and amount that is by the needs of the body, by paying attention to the principles of food diversity, physical activity, clean living behavior, and maintaining a normal weight to prevent nutritional problems, in other words, Balanced Nutrition that the body needs to, to maintain health and to carry out activities and functions of daily life,  and storing nutrients to meet the needs of the body when food consumption does not contain the nutrients needed. The purpose of counseling as a medium of information communication and education for students of SMP N 2 Huragi in 2022 about balanced nutrition. Materials and methods of using leaflets with lecture and Q&A methods. The results of this community service from 80 students of SMP N 2 Huragi were taken 10 names at random, all of whom already understood and could call the message of balanced nutrition properly and correctly, and they would share this information with families at home and would apply nutritional guidelines in their daily lives. To implement a balanced nutrition pattern in daily diet to prevent malnutrition problems and more nutrition, and motivate the community, especially students of SMP N 2 Huragi to be more selective in choosing snacks that contain good nutritional value.
