PENYULUHAN KESEHATAN TENTANG HIV/AIDS DI SMA NEGERI 8 KOTA PADANGSIDIMPUAN

Abstract

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a retrovirus that infects the cells of the human body's electrical system, a single strand of viral RNA that enters the nucleus of the host cell and is transcribed into the DNA of the host when it infects the devotee. AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) is a viral disease that causes the collapse of the immune system caused by infection with human immunodeficiency (HIV). HIV is not a hereditary disease but rather the result of transmission from other people or objects such as syringes that are used simultaneously. Health counseling on HIV / AIDS aims to increase knowledge among adolescents about the meaning of HIV / AIDS, how HIV / AIDS is transmitted and prevention so as not to contract HIV / AIDS. The target of this activity is teenagers at SMA Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan City.  Health counseling is carried out in a face-to-face manner by providing counseling on HIV / AIDS. The result of the activity was that participants better understood and understood about HIV / AIDS.
